Dear and longtime friends in Ft. Langley, British Columbia introduced us to this BBQ salmon recipe when we visited their home years ago. It’s become a favorite in our household over the years and we sure are grateful for the introduction. You need to use charcoal briquettes and salmon with the skin on. Be sure to divide the briquettes on either side of the Weber for best results.
Salmon BBQ
Charcoal briquettes, divide on both sides of Weber
Salmon with skin on
Lemon pepper (Costco or Lawry’s brand is recommended)
Brown sugar to generously sprinkle on top
Sprinkle lemon pepper and generously sprinkle brown sugar on top of salmon. Let sit one hour before cooking. Oil grill, place salmon in the middle, skin side down. Cook with top on, vents open, for 22 minutes. No turning. Bon appetit!

Thanks for letting me know, Anne. I went ahead and changed the title of the recipe to “Davie’s Salmon” – it’s a good fit and what we call it at home. Great to hear from you.
